Welcome! Today we will be using a variety of Web 2.0 tools to explore the possibilities for teaching and learning in our schools today. All the resources shared today will be found on our class wiki http://megormi.wikispaces.com/leaders Feel free to go to this site and copy the links (in the white section, not the entire page and background) paste the links over to Microsoft Word and type your notes as you go. At the end of the day you can email this to yourself and the links will be active links. I look forward to a great day of learning!
Now that is no easy task in May, to lead school administrators in a day of deep thinking, but what a great day! Today I was in Toluca, IL with a great group of risk takers ready to explore the amazing power of web 2.0 tools available to them. For those of you that know me, I have shifted more of my time to working with school administration because I firmly believe the leaders have to understand the amazing collaborative possibilities. Without great school leadership, there is very little chance for change.
The group all added comments in the post below about the top five tools they are taking back to their districts. As a presenter, I am amazed at the variety of tools that really hit the group. Interestingly the tools that limited getting in the car and driving to meetings were even more important than with the group last week as the cost of gas continues to increase! I have another session tomorrow; I look forward to reflecting on that learning also!
Thanks for those that were there face to face and those that will join the discussion! Our wikispaces page is http://megormi.wikispaces.com/leaders Feel free to join the discussion!
