Yikes, a couple of long days working with Word Press and I will report I love it and hate it at the same time! for every step forward, there is a step back. I am there, well almost. My dynamite assistant is home from college and started working with me this week and right away the challenges were many. I could outsource this work, but I really feel the need to “know what I don’t know”. As Lauren and I tried to figure things out, we agreed we didn’t even know what to query in help.
Even through our frustration we could see how much easier this work was this summer compared to similar tasks last summer. Maybe by next year we will actually have an understanding enough to query for help!
More to come soon, working with great school leaders. What tools have you learned about today?
After ten years with the my web site, I am starting fresh! Scary but true. I deleted my entire web site some how and I am taking this “opportunity” to create a new site and put the plan I have been working on for years to work. The hard part is I have no idea what I am doing! That sounds strange because I really have created and loosely maintained my web site for years, all by myself. Now suddenly I am thrust into unchartered waters and I am trying to figure out what I didn’t know I didn’t know.
This is good, healthy and I am sure all will turn out just fine, but it is that work in progress part that has me unsure. With each small success, I am building my confidence and I can more clearly see how my web page will become more of a tool for professional development sessions. This is intense learning and while scary, exciting also.
When I finally pin point what I don’t know and can articulate a question about Word Press, that will be a big step. The great news is I have my Twitter group one screen away I can tap for some help! I have people, I have a PLN! (Personal Learning Network)
